yDrift

Let your AI coding tools move fast — and still ship work you can trust.

AI assistants and agents now write a large share of the code that reaches production. They’re fast, but what they produce arrives of unknown provenance: a snippet may carry an open-source licence obligation no one saw, lean on an assumption no one checked, or quietly drift from the architecture your team agreed on.

yDrift sits over your AI coding platforms and verifies the work before it ships. It reads a change the way a careful reviewer would — not just “does it run?” but “is it safe to own?” — and turns each concern into a finding you can act on, not a wall that blocks you.

Know what you’re shipping

Every AI-generated change is treated as unproven until checked. yDrift flags code whose origin can’t be accounted for, so nothing of unknown provenance slips in unnoticed.

Catch hidden licence obligations

A copied block can carry an attribution duty — or a copyleft term that reaches your proprietary code. yDrift surfaces the obligation at review time, when it’s cheap to resolve, not after release.

A finding, not a gate

Each concern comes with a clear disposition — unproven, cleared, attributed, or avoided — so your team keeps its speed and keeps the judgement. yDrift owns the finding; you own the call.

Why it works this way. yDrift doesn’t try to replace the scanners and review tools you already use — it composes them and owns the one thing that actually protects you: the judgement about whether a change is safe to ship. We rent the substrate, and own the verdict.

yDrift is in active development — the next product in the yNeurals portfolio after yMussel. We’re working with a small number of early design partners who ship AI-assisted code and want assurance built in.
